John Marino, Jr., 63, of Ellwood City, Pa. passed away the morning of February 10, 2014 in Ellwood City Hospital. Born in New Castle on March 12, 1950, John was the son of the late John, Sr. and Corinne Cole Marino. He retired from the Department of Public Welfare and prior to that he had worked for the Pennsylvania Department of Health – Division of Vital Records. John was a proud graduate of the University of Pittsburgh where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree and then went on to earn his Masters Degree from Slippery Rock University. John was an avid golfer and was a loyal University of Pittsburgh Panther fan. John will be sadly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his brother, David Marino of Ellwood City; his sister, Diane and husband Tim Mike of Ellwood City; two nieces, Kristen and husband Thomas Campbell, Jr.; Marissa Mike, his great-niece, Isabella Campbell and great-nephew, Darren Campbell. Visitation is Wednesday from 5PM to 8PM at the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 941 S. Mill St. New Castle, Pa. 16101. A Blessing Service will be held on Thursday at 11AM at the funeral home. Rev. Father Frank Almade, pastor of St. Vitus Church, will officiate. Burial will take place in St. Vitus Cemetery.
