Dorothy Jane Huff Palmer, 83, of English Avenue passed away the morning of June 7, 2013 at her residence.
She was born September 2, 1929 in New Castle and was the daughter of the late Henry and Elizabeth Grim Huff. She is survived by her husband, Donald G. Palmer who she married on December 5, 1947.
Mrs. Palmer was a Union High School graduate. She was a restaurant manager working for KFC Restaurants in the area. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who loved spending time with her family.
In addition to her husband, Dorothy is survived by a son, Donald H. Palmer and wife Dawn of Enon Valley; daughter, Joni L. Dottle of New Castle; sister, Patricia Calvert and husband Bill of Ocala, FL; brother, Donald Huff of New Castle; eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister; Delores Barkley and a brother, John (Jack) Huff.
There will be no calling hours and the service will be private. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society, 3208B, Wilmington Road, New Castle, PA 16105. Arrangements handled by the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 941 S. Mill Street.
