Samuel Russo, 75, of N. Cedar St. passed away the morning of April 22, 2013 at his residence. Born in New Castle on July 13, 1937, Sam was the son of the late Joseph (Lefty) and Elizabeth Gangliero Russo. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Parish. Sam retired from Bessemer Cement Company. Sam was known to enjoy spending time visiting with his many friends and having coffee at different local restaurants. Sam is survived by his sister, Joan Russo of New Castle. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Robert Russo and Eugene (Barney) Russo. Visitation is Wednesday from 5PM to 8PM at Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 941 S. Mill St. A Blessing Service will be held on Thursday morning at 10AM at the funeral home officiated by Father William Siple of St. Vincent De Paul Church. Burial will take place at St. Lucy’s Cemetery.
