Katherine A. Cicco, 86, of Seneca Way; formerly of S. Cascade Street passed away the evening of April 26, 2013 in Jameson Care Center. She was born February 25, 1927 in Ellwood City and was the daughter of the late Stephen and Evelyn Campbell Kolitz. On September 27, 1947 she married her husband, the late Carmen F. Cicco who preceded her in death July 4, 1997. Mrs. Cicco was a homemaker and a member of St. Joseph the Worker Church. Katherine enjoyed gardening, sewing and crocheting. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who loved the time spent with her family. She is survived by two daughters, Linda Berkoben and husband Kenneth of New Kensington and Karan Cowher and husband Thomas of New Castle; one grandchild, Dr. Michael Cowher and wife Tiffany and two great grandchildren, Keira and Ava. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Evelyn Binko, Grace Buckholtz and Shirley Weir. Visitation will be Wednesday from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM at the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 941 S. Mill Street. A blessing service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday at the fuenral home. Father Frank Almade, pastor of St. Joseph the Worker Church will officiate. Interment will be in St. Vitus Cemetery.
